On Sunday 2nd March 2014 WKU Kumite Squad members from the Yokai, Oldmixon & Uphill and Clevedon clubs attended the Elkai Competition in Middlesex along with fellow club members and had some good results.

The WKU Kumite Squad members and medals were:

Yokai:
Aiden Summers – Bronze
Holly Ward – Silver
Sophie Ward
Brad Summers
Chloe Summers – Team Silver
Nicole Summers –  Bronze and Team Silver
Callum Mounce
Lewis Ward was also selected but unable to compete due to a broken arm earlier in the week!

WKU Girls Team – Silver

Chloe Carchrie Bronze and Team Silver
Nabeel Uddin
Aimee Carchrie

Charlotte Harmer Gold (Kumite)
Charlotte Harmer Bronze (Kata)

Oldmixon & Uphill:

Aimee – Gold (Kata) and Charlotte – Gold (Kumite) and Bronze (Kata)

Clevedon:
Lewis Cocking Kata & Kumite

All of the competitors produced good performances and did both their respective Clubs and WKU proud. Despite some difficult draws their spirits remained high throughout the day and they were a pleasure to manage.
