WKU athletes and coaches attended the C.E.W.K.A. Karate Championships 2015 at Worcester University Arena at the weekend. WKU’s Ivor Thomas travelled to Poland for the prestigious POLISH OPEN – IX International Karate Grand Prix in Bielsko-Biała. The competition, held on Saturday 10 October 2015, attracted 841 competitors from 21 countries including England, Italy, Japan, Malta, Ireland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Germany, Denmark, Turkey, Norway, Hungary, Sweden, Australia, Russia, Georgia. 121 clubs took part. WKU in Clochester held a Kata Course on the afternoon of Saturday 26th September at Highwoods Leisure Centre (The Gilberd School) Colchester. Over 25 students attended and Les Birkin was the instructor.
